[Bryn-gwlad] city parks and pavilions

Salut cozyns,

The fellow arrested in the park was no more a sexual predator than George
Michael was when he was arrested in a similar sting a few years back in a
public restroom. The man in Walnut Creek park was a horny guy cruising the
trails for a hook-up. Too bad for him he panicked and tried to run down a
cop when he fled.

The police run stings there and in a couple of other key spots around town
every year starting in May in an attempt to dissuade this kind of sexual
activity before the kids get out of school for the summer. Personally, I
consider the stings a misplaced use of police resources. The men targeted in
these stings are not sexual predators or pedophiles. Gay men trading sexual
favors in the bushes generally represent a danger to no one but themselves.

In any case, the pavilion I was thinking of is between the ball fields and
the soccer area, so it's no where near the trails.

En Lyonel
