[Bryn-gwlad] Another possibility

Salut cozyns,

Parking garages come in many shapes and sizes. Some have low ceilings. Some
are mostly sloping. I know the one my vehicle is parked in at the moment has
long stretches of level space but has ceiling beams too low for great
weapons or overhead wraps (scorpion shots). I also know that it takes
forever to get permission to use any of the IBM facilities, and the answer
is usually no. Nonetheless, just in case, I've sent a request to the site
coordinator.

The indoor sites we used in Idaho included a large underground garage with
ten-foot ceilings, my two car garage (no ceiling but no room for more than
one fight at a time), a geodesic dome that was part of a warehouse complex,
an old unused squash court that ISU had been planning to refurbish for
several years, and the carpeted dining hall of an Elks lodge. Our weirdest
arrangement was with the Elks. Anyone could use the hall if they paid for a
banquet. To meet this condition, everyone ponied up two dollars per
practice, and the Elks kitchen would put out a table for us with doughnuts
and coffee or chips and salsa with cheap sodas. The folks in Salt Lake used
a junior high school gym that had a concrete floor (I have no idea how they
got permission).

En Lyonel
