[Bryn-gwlad] Advanced Costuming – Accessories

Greetings!

This Sunday, May 13 will be the next Advanced Costuming Class.  This class
will focus on early period accessories, and we will even learn how to draft
patterns for Hoods and Coifs.



Please bring with you something to take notes with and a chair.  I will make
CDs available with images and resources.  Please contact me ahead of time so
I can have enough CD's ready.



Our next two classes in June and July will be workshops on fitting early
period garments.  You will need fabric so that we can custom fit a garment
to you.  Plan at least 6 yards for a full-length garment for an
average-sized person.

●        From the north, take IH-35 South to 1325 / Louis Henna Blvd /
Hester's Crossing.  It is exit #250A.

●        From the south, take IH-35 North to 1325 / Louis Henna Blvd.  It is
exit #250.

●        Turn East on Louis Henna Blvd.

●        Go through the stop light at Greenlawn and continue to the 2nd Stop
Light at AW Grimes / CR 170 (there is a Walgreen's on the corner), turn
right.

●        At the first 4-way stop, at Pflugerville Pkwy, turn right.

●        The first road on the right will be Marfa Lights, just after a
water tower.  Turn right there.

●        At the 3rd street on the left, Lobo Mountain, turn left and
continue to the end.

●        Where the road ends at Limpia Creek, park.  You should be in front
of my house.  It is a 2-story limestone and white siding house.
