Well if anyone needs new project wouldn't mind someone making me some
kimonos ; )
I know I have enough for a week, but want some more, and more court versions
(have some camp versions made of cotton but flowerly print LOL)
Or can always just slid me some quotes so when get money together ; )

It's up to you. Different fabrics can behave very differently. Linen,
wool, and silk all have a bit more stretch than cotton, and that amount can
change event depending on the weave. If you are nervous about cutting into
that expensive fabric, by all means, bring some old sheets to do the mock up
with. Just be aware, that there will be more fitting on the "real" think
later.
