Isn't this the same day as the Veritas Academy demo?  You're going to have a busy day, Izzy!

  We can't do the daytime demo due to work, but we may be able to come for the evening demo if I can persuade my husband to bring them to meet me at the theater.  Håkon can fight if there will be a youth rapier marshall present, and I will supervise Jasmine myself.

  At which Alamo location will the demo be happening?

  The wonderful people at Alamo drafthouse have welcomed us back to the opening night of "Pirate's of the Caribbean" which is Thursday May 24th. There are some time changes from last year though.

  They are wanting us there at 5:30pm, to entertain and demonstrate light fighting with performances as last year in the theater before the previews (roughly around 8pm). What I will need is at least 4 heralds for the theaters. (They are talking about possibly opening up all theaters for this viewing). I know we'll have the support of the light fighters, and we can divide who goes into which theater the day of, but I definately need heralds to explain to the crowd what is going on and encourage them to cheer on for their favorite fighter. We will NOT be staying for the midnight showing =) 

  Remember also to please bring water if you are planning on fighting during this event! It is earlier then last year and will still be warm. I'll be bringing bottled water for the demonstration, but its always good to be prepared for yourself! This goes for the non-fighting participants as well. 

  Before you ask, as of now there are no complimentary tickets to the showing, so if you wish to view the movie that day you will have to purchase your ticket. I didn't mention it, and neither did they. If by some chance they do offer them to us, I will offer them to first volunteered, and go down the list. Please do not consider this a guarantee of any kind that they will even offer us any tickets. 

  Not to discriminate, the later periods will be more suitable for this event, and unfortunately there will be no heavy fighting. Though we still encourage you to come out and support your local rapier fighters! If you have "sea songs" please bring handouts. I will also be needing people to hand out flyers. 

  Remember dress to impress!

  Please contact me off-list before May 22nd, so I can get a general idea of who is coming. :) Due to the nature of the event no unsupervised children will be allowed to participate, I would hate to have anything happen to our children, since it is a public parking lot and will go into the early hours of dark.
