[Bryn-gwlad] fake titles

Master Eule,
If you, and any other member of the Barony's Populace are interested in the more .. colorful .. members of the Barony, you can send a request to the current Captain of the Baronial Guard and see if there is a file on said member. You would be surprised on whom the Guard has files (or, maybe you wouldn't).
As for Jack, he is still serving his sentances working in the Baron's salt mine. I am quite sure that Baron Thomas would be glad to give Jack some company (and thereby doubling production) should the offense be grave enough to warrant it.
 In Service there is Honor,
 Ld. Alfred Huddlestone
Lt. (Ret.) of the Bryn Gwlad Baronial Guard

Well, Hanse Tailor...that "actor" from The Baron's Men...and tailor to
Sir Dietrich, has made some spurious claims in the past...I believe he
was Baron of Ravensfort, was it?

As well as Jack something or other...proprietor (or maybe just the
husband of) the "Boar's Breast" Tavern was caught selling letters
Patent, as I recall, out the back door of that establishment some years
back. In fact, as I recall, I'm sure he was somehow tied to the letters
detailing Hanse's claims as well, I think.

Actually, I wouldn't know the details about such things...not having set
foot in that place for sometime*.

*Most likely due to the fact that, well, it burned down a few years ago.
Ahhh, the girls...I do miss them so. I wonder how their Latin is coming
along?

When I lived in Bjornsborg, the first Baron there (before he was Baron
and
before a Barony was there) decided to shave off his beard and
mustache. After he did it we decided to play a trick on the group. We
told everyone that the Duchess Natasha de Grey from the West was coming
to
visit. Back then no one had ever met a peer let alone a Duchess.
Everyone
went nuts and put together a mini-revel with all sorts of entertainment
so
that the "Duchess" wouldn't think we had no manners. We dressed up Ed
like
a grand lady (complete with black velvet "Fiesta" dress, mantilla and
fan
and he paraded in as the Duchess for the event. One guy finally had to
be
told she was a he and not a duchess.

Years later some of the Bjornborgers met the real life husband of our
made
up Baroness (he was Duke Ivan de Grey) and he was puzzled by being told
we
all had met his "wife".

If done in fun it actually is entertaining..... but we have had a number
of
people who aren't what they say they are - one way or another.

Clare
