My parents saw it first cause it was PG and was worried the dead skellies
might scare us...okay I was in 2nd grade....but saw it anyway and was hooked
on sci-fi ever since. That 20th century music always makes me think Star
Wars now too casue first time heard it...

Also.../clears throat....The Japanese movie "The Hidden Fortress" by Akira
Kurosawa was what was the inspiration for Star Wars!

Yup had to slide the Japanese trivia in : )

Lady Tomoko

PS....some say Little Fuzzies by one of my favorite authors H.B. Piper was
inspiration for Emoks...

http://www.web-books.com/Classics/AuthorsOS/Piper/Fuzzy/Home.htm

and am trying to remember which book mentioned ice planet Piper mentions
called Hoth....

(BTW http://www.web-books.com/Classics/Fiction/ScienceFic/Default.htm is
soooo cool : )

Well, you saw Return of the Jedi that time, then, because that?s the first
movie ever shown in THX, in 1983.

I was afraid to go see the original StarWars?.I thought it was some kind of
post-apocalyptic film with nazi-like hoards in it (that?s what comes of only
looking at the pictures in TIME magazine).

My mom had seen it and drug me to it and as soon as the Star Destroyer
rumbled in over my head, I was a die-hard junkie.
