[Bryn-gwlad] [Bg-announce] Mailing list information

O.k, I believe that the mailing list is mostly set up correctly.  This means
if you have messages that you feel should be announced because they are of
an important nature, you may begin sending them to bg-announce.

Somebody asked a question and made me realize that some clarification needed
to be made concerning BG-Announce.  Subscribed to BG-Announce is the mailing
list "Bryn Gwlad."  This means that all messages sent to bg-announce will be
also sent to Bryn Gwlad.  This means that if you are subscribed to bryn
gwlad, you do not need to subscribe to bg-announce.  Where the bg-announce
is useful is for those people who only want the important messages (be it
because they can't keep up with the traffic on bryn-gwlad or because they
have a work email that they would like to keep up with things like fighter
practice cancellation.)  If you are one who likes to filter messages, you
could probably set up your filter to recognize messages that have
[bryn-gwlad][bg-announce] (at least that's what I think it looks like, but
you should be able to tell from this message that is being sent if you are
on the bryn-gwlad list.)

There are a few officers that are able to post directly without having to be
moderated.  They are: Seneschal, Deputy Seneschal, Rapier Marshal, Heavy
Marshal, Treasurer, Youth Rapier Marshl, Youth Boffer Marshal, and Baron.  I
will do my best to keep these people up-to-date.  In addition to myself,
there are two other people who can approve subscriptions and posts.  They
are the Seneschal and Deputy Seneschal.  Depending on how things work, we
may ask for another person to assist in this in the future.

We are now working on which messages are considered appropriate for the
bg-announce list.  There will be a set of "guidelines" written up.  If you
have any suggestions, please feel free to email myself, Lady Emeline, or His
Excellency Thomas.
