Hey, I'm absolutely up for a Desserts Tiny Tourney.

Would this be "strictly period", or how about "plausibly period/kinda sorta 
period give or take 80 or 90 years/period ingredients (but not necessarily 
period preparation)" or somesuch?

(I will go on record as favoring the latter, not least because I think it 
will produce a lot more entries :-)

Or, if we really wanted to go Iron Chef-style, someone (the Baron?) would 
have to announce a main ingredient which everyone would then have to 
incorporate in their dessert (but give us more than an hour to perform, 
please). That could be fun.
