Greetings all,
I would prefer not to have regularly scheduled tiny tourneys;
it is better to have flexible schedules and consider everything
else that's going on from month to month. Sometimes we need to
be preparing for events, other times it may be raining, etc.
Tis also important to have time for regular fighter practice!
We had at least 8 tiny tourneys in 2006, and we've already
had 5 tiny tourneys in 2007. We've had tourneys at our Tuesday
and Sunday practice locations, and at the Wells Branch demo
location on a Saturday. The tourneys have spanned chivalric,
rapier, archery, youth boffer, youth rapier, and A&S.

We've also had other activities at the parks that did not
include tiny tourneys: I've held court for special occasions,
we've had gate classes and youth classes, we've had the recent
knight school, and we've enjoyed bardic. We've also had time
for guard meetings, event planning meetings, and root beer floats.
We have hosted 4 kingdom calendar events in 2006 and 4 kingdom
calendar events in 2007 (five if you count Coronation and Queens)
all of which had tourneys and competitions. We've also enjoyed
a number of revel minors.
It is possible to do all of this because we're an active group
that is open to possibilities. Let's not lock ourselves into
a preset schedule. If you're interested in more tiny tourneys,
please volunteer to help organize some. Let me hear your ideas!
Best wishes,
Thomas
