Greetings...
I was providing possible useful counsel in the relam of not burning out
the 10% of the workers in a group that do 90% of the work for 90% of the
group. (the 10-90-90 theory, its an interesting thing to watch in group
dynamics).
Been there, got the T-shirt....several times over.
I am not implying that one would need "months" of prep for a tiny tourney,
but that one could plan and prep at lesuire or just before the event
dependent on what the event is.
However, a little planning is worth a ton of last minute panic.
And yes, BG does FAR more events (big and little, local and kingdom) than
ANY other group in the Kingdom and then some.
As one that has closely watched the activites of the groups of Ansteorra
from a unique view in the past, We regularly saw BG stepping up with the
Lions share of the resources, events and "Get'r Done" attitude.
Go with the flow, plan ahead, space it out, whatever you wish to call it,
it is all terms to pace your group, rotate the duties and efforts and not
burn anyone out.
Burn-out in the SCA is a real! problem. But that is another subject for
another day.
