I wouldn't begin to propose that we take it over from them permanently;
as you say, it's been their baby for years, and they do a good job with
it. What I would propose is that we offer to take the lead on it /for
this year only/ since too many of their populace will bet at 3 Kings for
them to do it. We usually provide a considerable amount of their
manpower for ACF each year anyway.

If we did this, it could be a 'win' for both groups: we get to do a fun
demo right here in our own front yard, and they don't risk /losing/ said
demo from non-appearance.

Damiana makes a very good point: if we are going to do this, we need
people to commit to it. I cannot do so at this time, since I'm going to
have clinicals every saturday until December. I would think we'd need at
least 10 people to /commit/ to be there on saturday and sunday if we're
going to make this offer to FG.

Yes, doing ACF would mean doing two major demos in three weeks. Yes, as
lot of our people will be at 3 Kings as well. But between FG and BG I'm
certain we have the manpower to make this happen. The question is: do we
as a Barony have the will?

If we don't want to officially take it over, but have enough people who
can commit to help, FG can still commit to it with the ACF planners and
have one of their people who isn't going to 3 Kings be in charge. At the
very least we have a chance to lend a hand to our neighbor (and
daughter) branch to the South, which by itself must be a Good Thing.
