[Bryn-gwlad] Candlemas costume planning

Hi,

I have been doing some research on clothing worn by Norse cultures around
the time period we are using for our Candlemas Event (890 I think).  Since
this is new area of study for me, I have virtually nothing that I can use
from my fabric / jewelry / clothing stash that is appropriate for this
event.  I have been looking for beads for a "Viking" bead necklace, and will
be purchasing some beads for this purpose as well as going through my own
personal stash.  My goal is to have a variety of beads, but most of the
beads that I find come in strands that have many more than I need and if I
purchased all the different kinds I want, I would have many, many beads that
I might not use.

I figure that I am not the only one in this predicament.  I would like to
propose a bead swap where we bring in beads we no longer want to trade with
others for beads we do.  I would like to do this at Populace in the Park
sometime.

If anyone is interested, please let me know, and we can try to coordinate a
date.

I am also interested in hosting another themed Advanced Costuming Class, and
would like to know if anyone would be interested in attending a class that
is focused on "Viking" age clothing.
