Hey, I think I resemble that remark! Just don't let Rurik see this, or he
might use you for point control. :)
Actually, couples who are from very different times and places is very
common in the SCA, and for me fascinating. Rurik was born in 1368, Denmark,
while Elisabetta was born in 1472 Florence. There is no way we would have
ever met, and even if we lived at the same time, it is unlikely that either
of us would have traveled enough, or had a connection to someone who
traveled enough for us to have ever met.
But, the SCA is a strange place, and we have the opportunity to meet all
kinds of interesting people from all over the world, and it's even mostly
peaceful most of the time (except for those pesky Trimarans).
