[Bryn-gwlad] Arrow Shaft weight?

Greetings,
Now that we have a practice area again, me and my lady would like to get back to shooting....and now that my shoulder is healed, although still out for heavy fighting.

The standard wooden arrows you buy around town are just too light (?) for my wifes bow at 45 lb.s and mine at 50 lb.s, as the arrows tend to porpoise when fired. Both boths are recuves with fiberglass limbs.

So my question is how do you figure out what spine weight (?) you need and how do you go about making arrows, been at least 20+ years since I made any arrows.

From what I have been able to find so far, my wife needs 45-50 (iv-iv+) and mine will need 50-55 (v-v+) per spine charts. So what diamiter shaft does this corrispond into? Haven't been able to find that yet.

  sincerely,
  Barnet
