[Bryn-gwlad] Arrow Shaft weight?

This conversation has really piqued my interest in archery again. I
used to participate back in the East Kingdom but have not had the
opportunity to do so here. My main concern is my bow. The longbow I
have is beginning to show signs of splitting and a friend bought me a
bow a couple years back but it is the kind that disassembles into 3
parts.
Do I need to purchase a more period bow? Would it be acceptable to
practice with it at least?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
