[Bryn-gwlad] In Need of Some Sword Hangers

I made one about 75% many years ago (I finally broke down and scavenged
it for buckles a while back)
But it was crazy easy, if you have a good strap cutter. You just build
it backwards of a normal strap setup,
you put the buckle on the piece, then attach a strap with holes to the
underside, upside down so it flips over and looks right around the
rapier case.
I just never got around to buying a rapier for myself and so never put
it on a belt and added the diagonal to hold the rapier up.
assuming you mean something like this.

and not one of the even easier patterns.

And if all you want is something simple like this, (but sans tooling)

I can whip you up a couple 3 or 4 tomorrow that you can have, just for
old times sake. or you can, they'd take less than an hour each to make.
I'd just need dimensions... belt width, scabbard thickness,\\
Crazy simple.
They'd be out of russet oiled leather, between the thicknesses of heavy
pouch and light armor strap.(I have half a side I bought too thin for
chin straps, forgetting how much oil tans stretch).
I'd offer to do fancier ones, but the cost of buckles adds up faster
than you think.
If you want something like this, I can make a couple if you're not too
picky about the belt tooling being period with stuff I'll never use for sca.
(think western belts) but bought on a whim as seconds.

I finished off my belt cutting side about a year ago (it lasted 9 year
worth of belts) , so it'd have to be from the odds and ends I have lying
around.
