[Bryn-gwlad] Latin Translation

Those looking for Latin mottoes or ideas for mottoes, might want to  
take a look at these two files in the HERALDRY section of the  
Florilegium:
mottoes1-msg     (113K) 10/25/00    Latin mottoes for SCA use.

mottoes2-msg      (80K) 10/25/00    More Latin mottoes and phrases.

Most of the translations in these files have been done by Mistress  
Gunorra, who lives in this barony although we don't see her that  
often right now.  Her translations are nice because she also goes  
into detail on why certain words are best or why certain words, such  
as those done with word by word translations such as those computer  
programs, aren't correct.

As far as I know, Gunnora is still willing to help folks with  
translations, although she does request that people look through  
these files first in case she has already done the translation you want.
