Real spear shafts are normally made out of hardwood which is much
stiffer that rattan, even a 9 foot rattan spear is wobbly out at the far
end.
So even though I've only handled "real" polearms, I'd expect the
fiberglass to perform more realistically than a Rattan spear.

Has anyone compared a real spear versus a rattan spear versus a
fiberglass spear, for weight, balance, control, speed, or other
factors that a non-fighter like me wouldn't know about?
