I know others have replied to this question, but I want to have my
feelings as Treasurer known.

I do not feel that the two jobs can be combined safely. Gate is usually
just far enough away from the hill shack that a person sitting Gate
might not be able to stop someone from going up the hill who doesn't
know they are supposed to wait. It also would mean the Traffic
controller would not be easily visible and people may mistakenly think
the hill was not being controlled.  

I know that hill duty is very sporatic in the attention required and it
is not a bad idea to have a small job available for the people working
it. But the first requirement of traffic control needs to be hill
safety. The traffic control needs to be able to drop everything at a
moments notice to intercept a vehicle. 

Another point is that heavy traffic on the hill usually implies heavy
traffic at gate (especially the shift you mentioned). If a person were
working both, I feel that traffic safety would be the higher priority,
but that means there would be a back-up of people signing in at gate,
and thus traffic will get backed up because many people try to sign in
before parking. (though that does open the question of should we see
about moveing Gate to the other side of the road so we aren't between
the entrance and the parking).

	Would it be possible to combine a 8-10am gate shift with an 8-10
bottom
	traffic? I'm trying to figure out schedules before I commit to
the Saturday
