[Bryn-gwlad] [Bg-announce] Reminder of the BG-announce list

I'm sending this announcement to remind people of the announcement list.

What this list does:
It allows people who don't want the chatter to get important messages.

What this list doesn't:
It doesn't allow everybody to post without prior approval.  There are some
officers that have automatic approval (although not all).  Everything else
is submitted to one of the moderators (the Seneschal, the Deputy Seneschal,
and myself) for approval.

Remember: Anything posted to bg-announce does not need to be separately
posted the bryn gwlad list.  (Everything from bg-announce gets posted to the
Bryn Gwlad list.)

Also remember: If you are subscribed to the bg-announce list separately, you
will possibly see 2 copies of the same message.  (This is dependent on how
your mail client handles duplicate messages.)

Guidelines for posting to BG-Announce:
The biggest rule is that it should be things that are of general important
nature.  Examples are: Fighter practice cancellations of important officers
(marshals, seneschal, Baron and Baroness), Business meeting times, Event
meeting times, local Event announcements, local Demos, sudden non-local
event changes (eg Crown Tournament location being moved and it is the
Thursday night beforehand).  We can try to allow some broad-spectrum SCA
interest things be allowed, but if they get out of control, they will be
denied (eg an exhibit showing at a local museum).  However, off-topic
announcements will not be allowed through (looking for a job, etc.)

I would like to see this list utilized because I think it can be of great
benefit for those people who want to stay connected but do not have the time
to read the conversations.
