I think someone should mention that Annika Larsson's theories on Norse
women's clothing, which are summarized in this article, are held by
most (if not all) experts in the field to be complete bollocks. She's
apparently drawn her conclusions from a rather idiosyncratic
interpretation of a single grave find, with little reference to
historical context and an heavily skewed cultural perspective. There
was some discussion of this topic in the Norsefolk Yahoo! Group a few
weeks ago <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Norsefolk_2/message/13230>.

The more generally accepted interpretation of the Pskov find, which
Larsson, according to the article, claims is evidence that Norsewomen
in Sweden dressed "dressed much more provocatively than we previously
believed" is the one given here
<http://www.strangelove.net/~kieser/Russia/PskovTranslation.html>.
