[Bryn-gwlad] Unable to attend Coronation

A friend of mine's mother has passed away and the funeral is Saturday afternoon.  I will be attending.

It will be more a celebration of her life, than sorrow at her passing.  I was honored to attend Flossie Sweat's 100th birthday party at my church last spring.  A school teacher for many years, she and her husband were instrumental in the lobbying efforts to get the Teacher Retirement System started in Texas.  Once it was in place, woe betide the legislator who tried to reappropriate that money.  She kept a close eye on them.

>From what I've seen and learned about this wonderful lady, I think she and my grandmother were two peas in a pod.  Tough as nails and willing to teach anyone willing to learn, time spent with such as these is a treasure to cherish.
