[Bryn-gwlad] How we learned of the SCA

I learned of the SCA in Caid in 1990.  My best friend in high school, Debbie, was taking a college semester in drafting, and had met this really cool lady there who talked about this group called the SCA.  She said that the lady had invited her out to this event, and asked if I wanted to tag along......the event turned out to be the twice-a-year mega-event called May Potrero War (also called Estrella War Practice.)  It was HUGE, and I totally fell in love with the SCA.  I even had the honor of having a fighter ask to fight a single match for me.....that was all she wrote, and I got involved seriously immediately after the event.
   
  The lady eventually would become Baroness Brianna JeNell Aislynn of Blue Shadows, OL
  The fighter would rise to become Duke John ap Gwyndaf of Holdingford, KSCA, OL
