[Bryn-gwlad] How we learned of the SCA

I was living in a Los Angeles suburb in the 70's, and I saw an article about the SCA in the LA Times in 1971. I thought "Wow, this is really cool!" I finally tracked the group down at WorldCon in LA in 1972, and the rest, as they say, is (ancient) history. Since then, the little barony I started with - Barony of the Angels - has grown from a small and distant outlying colony of the Kingdom of the West into a major SCA population center in a different kingdom (Caid), and has spun off 4? or 5? different groups now.
