[Bryn-gwlad] Recruiting demo ideas.

I guess I am looking at this from a heavy fighter's point of view, although
it can easily be this way for new artists, bards, ect. When you go to your
first fighting event, you can come up against a knight just as easily as you
can a opponent of your own skill level. And this can be intimidating, I
don't care who you are.
What I am looking at is an event where they are not too overwhelmed, can
compete with others close to their own skill level, and we can be there to
cheer them on and give them some "Well done, m'lord/m'lady." Something
where they are not worried bout saying or doing the wrong thing. It might
have happened in the past, that some have showed up to a PIP, and thought,
"this is interesting", but have gone to their first event, and then thought,
"what have I gotten myself into?" Some hover on the fence more than others,
and need a lighter touch.
I am not saying that Tiny Tourneys are not a good way to get some involved,
but a person's first event is usually the time where they decide whether or
not they will stick with it. And it is easy for newcomer's to fall between
the cracks at events. This is my opinion of course, it does not reflect
that of the management... :) Just speaking of my own experiences.
