Ysabeau, I can't make any of these links work... perhaps they only show to the person who created the proofs?

And to throw yet another option into the ring...

I've used NoNegPress several times, and can vouch that their product is extremely professional, with reasonable turnaround times and shipping. The bad news is that they do bizcards in multiples of 1000 only; the good news is that 1000 cards run $39 (plus shipping) for ANY combination of color and BW on both sides (so, color both sides, color front and BW back, BW both sides, all the same price). 

Lady Coblaith sent me some wonderful pictures not too long ago, and I'm thinking they'd make a GREAT bizcard for the barony--lots of color, heraldry, action, representatives of both fighting branches, and even the baronial guard in the background. See what you think of this mockup:

I've just taken a stab at what info to put on the cards, thinking of what might attract the largest number of folks. Your handwritten name goes in the blank. And of course the maps would be redrawn to make them legible at bizcard size.

Even assuming shipping is $10 or so, we're talking 5c/card for 1000 cards. Anyone who's interested in handing out cards could come to PiP with a dollar and get 20 cards to hand out, or 40 for two bucks. As I said, I've worked with this vendor before and will be happy to prepare and send files.  Cheers, --Lucia

  Okay, after sleeping and reading the messages, I took the recommendation for Vista Print. I didn't like any of the free designs but thought this one might work for us. It is still cheaper than the other site although I kind of like the cartoon heavy fighter on the other one (gotta love a guy with an ax!). I created a generic Barony of Bryn Gwlad card that anyone can hand out. There isn't really room to write personal info unless you write on the back on top of the map...but I included PiP info in the space where you would normally put personal info.

  Click the link above to see a proof of the design. I have a grayscale map to PiP on the back. I think it has enough information to help anyone interested in finding us in particular and SCA groups in general if they are from out of town. I left off the email address because those tend to change and you never know if a spammer will pick up the card and start spamming that person. Emails are on the website so they can get them if they need them. 

  I'll wait until Emeline, Gwenneth, and Avery come back from Queen's (I'm guessing they are there) before ordering just to make sure that we aren't breaking any rules and for official approval.

  If you can email me privately and let me know about how many cards you want, I can get a better idea on pricing. They start at $20 (plus some extra setup fees and shipping) for 250 and go up to $116 (including setup fees and shipping) for 5000. 5000 seems like a lot of cards but if we are handing them out at demos and stuff, a busy demo could use up 200 cards easily and you can't really beat the price if we divide it up between 6-10 people. I can cover the cost until they come in.

  Also, there is an option to get the front of the cards on refrigerator magnets. They start at $10 for 25, 50 for $15, etc. If you are interested in some of those, let me know. They might be good to give some of the more promising candidates at demos or to put on refrigerators at work/dorms. I can be at PiP around 8:15ish to collect fundage for these if you want them.
