[Bryn-gwlad] The Political Process (was Another PiP no-show)

Either our caucus was smaller or better organized, though it seemed neither at the time.  Sometime after 8:30, they'd signed the last of us up.  179 people showed up for the Democrats, which was a record.  After doing the math (no disagreements in ours), the delegates and alternates were picked.  We were done by 9:00.

I was unfortunately unable to volunteer since I have a concert the night of 29 March.

This was my first time to participate in this aspect of voting.  Somehow I'd missed hearing about it before.  I found it very interesting.  I also met some of my neighbors after we'd signed in, but before the delegate portion began.  I walked home with one of them after the caucus was finished (it is only a 5 minute walk from my place).  Og was there, too, and we had a nice visit while we were waiting in line.

Coincidentally, HBO played _Primary Colors_ late last night.  I hadn't seen it all before.  I was amused at how some of "Governor Stanton's" speeches sounded like Obama, especially the parts on taking personal responsibility for change rather than waiting for the government to do it for us.
