Greetings Lady Annabel,

I have never heard anyone complain that you
don't do your share and then some. You have been a great exemplar of service as
long as I have known you, and if you need or want a break, that is your call.

Good question. When you boil it all down to gravy, we are a volunteer
organization. If nobody volunteers, then nothing gets done. If only a few
people volunteer, then things work for a while and fall apart when the people
who were volunteering burn out and leave. The trick is to find a way to
motivate the folks who are willing to do something but don't know just what is
needed to do the things which need to be done.

How much do you HAVE to do? Nothing. I'm thankful for what you have done and I
appreciate your work. You've proven that you are great at working with kids.
Do what you need to so that it keeps being fun for you. It would be great if
you could help someone who has the enthusiasm to take over coordinating things
get up to speed, but take care of you.

Great reasons. I like your priorities. If you aren't enjoying what you are
doing, it will eventually show and will ultimately be counterproductive. Do the
things which you enjoy and help out where you can and we'll all be stronger for
it.

Forgiveness is not required.

Sorry to deny your wish and keep this public, but I think that this needs to be
open to other thoughts. I have some friends in the SCA who will look you right
in the eye and tell you that the SCA is their hobby and their place to go for
entertainment and they don't want to become involved in the work of maintaining
the SCA. I respect their rights and opinions, but I believe that the abrogation
of responsibility for the grunt work of the SCA expressed in those views is what
produces situations like this.

Sincerely,
Laird Erc fitzMungo
