Kom hael og sael!

Please pardon the extremely last minute notice. There is a demo
opportunity this Saturday, June 5, at the Irving Mall in Irving, TX for
the Irving Public Library, from Noon to 5pm. It is the kick-off to their
summer reading program and we have been invited again this year to
display.

Arts, crafts, books, and displays suitable for children of reading age are
all appropriate for this demo, as are costumes, suits of armor, banners,
and a plethora of other things. The only things which are FORBIDDEN by
city ordinance are WEAPONRY OF ANY SORT WHATSOEVER. This includes both
rattan swords and fencing epees, as well as more traditional bladed
daggers, knives, and swords. If you bring it, you will be asked to lock it
in your vehicle. That is, if we see it before the kind police officers
that patrol the mall see it. You are very welcome to bring your armor and
shields, and anyone who would like to display the making of chain mail I
am sure would attract quite an avid audience.

Please come spend a pleasant afternoon in the AIR CONDITIONING sharing our
love of history! This is an especially good time with all the interest in
Tolkien and Harry Potter among children and their parents lately.

YIS,
Lady Sunnifa Eiriksdottir
on behalf of Lady Aimiliona of Hares Keep, the demo coordinator.
