I thought some of you might find this interesting ---

Hall will be teaching a course called "Shakespeare's text for actors" this
Fall semester. What's not clear is exactly how much he'll be involved with
the Houston Shakespeare Festival.

UH APPOINTS INTERNATIONALLY KNOWN DIRECTOR TO SCHOOL
OF THEATRE CHAIR

The University of Houston announces the appointment of
Sir Peter Hall, founder of the Royal Shakespeare Co.
in London and former artistic director of the Royal
National Theatre of Great Britain. Hall will replace
José Quintero, who died earlier this year, as the
Wortham Chair in Performing Arts.

list of credentials, including directing noteworthy
plays, films and more than 40 operas around the world.

Hall has directed world premieres of most of Howard
Pinter's plays and more than 30 of William Shakespeare's
works. Some of Hall's productions include John Gabriel
Borkman, Happy Days, Hamlet, Antony and Cleopatra,
The Tempest, The Wars of the Roses, An Ideal Husband,
The Oresteia, The Homecoming and Amadeus
