I have a prety good meat pie recipe, but it bears no relationship to
period, whatsoever, as far as I know, to the best of my knowledge
(insert further disclaimers here). 

In fact, I would kid of like to get my hands on a good period recipe. 
Keep me informed and I'll see if I can show up for some of your
get-togethers.  I'll be happy to make my pies, even if they aren't
period.
