Hi gang! As you try to gear back up from traveling to Gulf Wars and if
your not going to the Red Tape Meeting, there are two activities in the
Houston area you may want to take advantage of. (Sorry, not directly SCA,
but of interest to a lot of you, I'm sure.)
1. Bayou City Art Festival (formerly the Westheimer Art Festival) at
Memorial Park, off River Oaks Blvd, in the center of the Park. Friday -
Sunday, March 24-26th, 10am to 6pm. (Ceramics, paintings, jewelry,
clothing, metalworks, etc. )
2. Friends of the Houston Library will be holding their annual fund
raising sale of used hardback (from $1.50 ea) and paperback books (from
75cents ea) and kids books (from 50cents). On Friday (4:30pm - 9pm)
members only. On Saturday (9am - 5pm), and Sunday (noon - 4pm) Entry Sat
and Sun is free. Memberships on Fridaymay be purchased $20/person,
$10/student. Check todays Houston Chronicle for details, Houston section.
Enjoy... Hillary
