CR - Defenders of the Coast / Siege Guild 9/29

Greetings,

The Defenders of the Coast and the Stargate / Loch Siege Guild will be
having a what's up?, who's going to Gulf Wars?, how's your armor doing?, do
you want to crew a siege engine? get-together, planning session, barbeque,
and party on Friday, September 29th at Baron & Baroness Godwin & Lissa's
house.  Yes, that's the Friday before Stargate's weekend at the Texas
Renaissance Faire.  7 pm until they kick us out...

This is for anyone who's interested in fighting, supporting fighting (we
always need groupies), shooting combat archery, siege engines, or just about
anything relating to combat in the SCA.  

Godwin will fire up his testosterone engine (125,000 BTU grill, baby) and
cook some cow.  Bring a dish, otherwise.  BYOB.

We'll have some video of previous fighting, maybe a cheezy movie or two.

Bring what you've got in the way of armor and any extra armor pieces you
might have lying around.  We'll dump it in a big pile in the living room,
call lay on, and have at it :)...  Actually, we can check to see what people
have and let those without all their armor get ideas or extra pieces...
Alexis will bring a portion of his armor book library, too (the ones with
the pictures, so the illiterate among us won't feel left out...).

We're also planning a similar get-together at Sir Alexis' house on Friday,
October 20th for those who can't make the first one, or who don't hear about
it, or just want more free food...  Hopefully, we'll have made some progress
on the armor front, or you can use Alexis' shop, and we'll have the siege
engines out so the crews can claim their own...

Directions:  Get to Beltway 8 West and Clay Road.  Go East on Clay road to
Gessner (about a mile).  Turn South (right) on Gessner.  Turn right at the
first light, Kemp Forest.  Go through the second stop sign, Bernadette.  The
house is on the Northwest corner of Bernadette and Kemp Forest.  3003
