Greetings unto the lists and apologies for multiple posts from Lord Stephen
Macthomas:

As many of you know, the Canton of Gate's Edge conducts a members' door
prize drawing at each populace meeting.  This is to encourage our
participants to become members and to give those that do a small benefit on
the local level.  As many of you also know, the Houston Museum of Natural
Science is presenting a special exhibit entitled Vikings: The North Atlantic
Saga, running from now until October 14.  In addition to the fine artifacts
and replicas on display (including the ship Skelmir, constructed by the
Ansteorran Longship Company), the Museum is sponsoring a lecture series in
conjunction with the exhibit.

At the Gate's Edge populace meeting on Monday, August 13, the door prize for
members will be two tickets for the 7:00 pm lecture on Tuesday, August 14.
It will be held in the IMAX Theater in the Museum and will feature Dr. Arne
Emil Christensen, curator at the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo and one of the
world's foremost scholars on the subject of Viking shipbuilding.  Anyone
