Greetings Lady Tegan,

We wrote to make 'reservations' for the pottery workshop on Monday, but I
neglected to give you our phone number. So...it is:
281-983-5276. We hope to hear from you and be able to attend the workshop.

>The Loch Pottery Guild is having a workshop on Monday May the 28th
>(Memorial Day).
>The workshop will be on Raku firing. Raku was developed in the late
>1500's in Japan as a way of making the bowls for the tea ceremony.
> This technique involves taking red hot pots fresh from the kiln and
>placing them in cans full of leaves, dried grass or whatever will
>produce the best reduction so I would have to insist you not bring
>children to this one.
>I have made some pots for the class so you will all get to glaze and
>fire your own pot.
>It is limited to ten people due to space considerations. (If there is
>enough interest I will do another in June)
>I still have some spots left so please email me if you are interested
>and I will call you with directions.
>You will need to wear long pants and open toed shoes are not advised..
>All long hair must tied back and I will make sure you have any other
>safety gear you need for the process.
>Bring newspaper if you can to reduce your pots in. The more the merrier.
>There is a pool available for cooling off while the pots are cooling off
>so bring a bathing suit.
>And we will be barbecuing hamburgers for anyone interested.
>The workshop starts at 11:00 and should end about 3:00.
