Strapping tape is always needed.  Extra wide electrical tape. Blue foam pad
(like the kind campers sleep on or you would pad a helm with). Scissors or
utility knife to cut tape.  Plastic golf tubes. Duct tape is always a winner
and I believe they use it to cover the head after they use the strapping tape.

If you have the time and will be making bolts for your own use, make up some
labels.  They need to have your name and kingdom.
