Their Serpentine Excellencies, William and Katya, invite you to join Them at Loch Guardian as They select Their Baronial Champions in the fields of Archery, Bardcraft, Chivalric Combat, Youth Combat, and Equestrian Skills.

Loch Guardian will be held on May 19-21, 2006, at Camp Camwood, near Hockley, Texas, northwest of Houston. Site opens at 4pm on Friday, May 19. Camping is available and encouraged. A primitive shower will also be available.

On Saturday, the Equestrian Competition begins at 9:00 am. (This is a change from the Black Star announcement.)

Morning Court will begin at 9:30 am. The topic(s) for the third and final round of the Bardic Competition will be announced at Morning Court. The Chivalric and Archery Competitions begin after court. The Bardic Competition begins at 1pm.

Baron Bors offers special prizes to the three youths who score highest in the archery competition.

  Other activities:
Loch Soilleir hopes to offer a Youth Combat authorization class for all four age groups during the day on Saturday, pending the attendance of an authorizing Youth Marshal.

The Youth Combat Tournament will begin at 2 pm on Saturday. Baron William has decreed that there must be competition in each age group to determine the Champions.

Don Tristan and Don Alessandro promise a rapier tournament and/or melees. The final format will depend on the number of participants and their collective preferences.

Mistress Neassa will hold a discussion about what to expect at a Pas d'Armes event, such as the upcoming Lysts at Castleton.

In the evening, Don Brian mac Cael (cyranobcc AT netzero.com) promises an Italian feast of seven removes to enchant your palate. Please contact him regarding any questions you may have about the feast menu.

For more information about the competitions, a tentative schedule, the feast menu, and a map with directions, go to: loch-soilleir.ansteorra.org/guardian.

ACCEPS is available to pay site and feast fees, but will close at midnight on Sunday, May 14.
