If you did not know him and wish to come hear the stories and tales you are also welcome. We will begin at 10:00 am. Bring your stories, pictures and memories.
Kenesaw Landis Bernsen, Jr. also known as Lord Yagsavoke Ulric Moonchild (Yagi) and Uncle Yagi to some, age 58, of Bordermarch, died on Sunday, November 12, 2009. His cremation was overseen by Comeaux-Community Funeral Chapel. Born in Beaumont, TX, he graduated from Monsignor Kelly High School and Lamar University, where he received his Masters Degree in Psychology.
He had been a member of Bordermarch since 1977, when Bordermarch was still a Shire, then Barony, in the Kingdom of Atenveldt; he was there when Ansteorra became a Kingdom, and then he made a short stay in the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann after which he returned to his home in Bordermarch. He is preceded in death by many great fighters from the SCA, Hogan of the Shifting Sands, Sir Ricardo de Piza, Sir Theo, Sir John the Plain... others whom he respected... They are now congregating on the fighting fields of heaven. He was a tremendous feastocrat and he received a Thistle for his jewelry making. He was awarded an AOA in 1978, is a member of the Order of the Silent Trumpet of Bordermarch and Order of the Noble Heart of Bordermarch.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Liddle-Bernsen aka HE Therese d'Ivoire; his mother, Joyce Bernsen of Beaumont; daughter, Kara Leighann and husband Matt Concha of Ohio, grand-children; Karmah, Kade and Koehn, two sisters, KC and Michelle both of Beaumont and three brothers, Mike of Columbus, MS, Kelly and Dutch of Beaumont.
He was also preceded in death by his father, Kenesaw Landis Bernsen, Sr. in 1995.
Kenesaw's family and friends would like to thank the doctor's, nurses, and staff of Harbor Hospice House for all their care and concerns for Kenesaw in his last days. We send them many blessings.
