<div>Greetings fair folk of Stargate and the surrounding environs,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Wow! What a Grand Sunday Tournament this past weekend. Thanks to the entrants and their consorts, the many heralds, marshals, list mistresses, scribes and illuminators that made the tournament so special. Extra thanks to Lady Bella McLeod, sponsor of the Chivalric Tourney, and to Lady Maureen Faulkner, sponsor of the Rapier List. Bella gave a new armor repair bag with lots of cool widgets to fix chivalric armor and Maureen provided a hand-made wooden storage box/seat.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Congratulations to Pomestnitsa Wissa Medvedeva, our winner on the Chivalric Field and to Don Tristan von Heidelberg of the Rapier side. Wissa went undefeated until the final round against Sir Godwin of Eddington, who then calling on his station as Baron and Knight, yielded her the final point to win the day. Don Tristan prevailed over a cadre of rapier fighters that fought in a multitude of styles throughout the day.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Even though the list began just after 3, the tourney ran till almost 7 (Sorry Euro Dance Guild) We will better organize the following tournaments to avoid this conflict in the future. Our next Sunday Tourney in the Park will be on June 29th, the day after the Ansteorran Heraldic and Scribal Symposium, beginning with armor inspection at 1 pm. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>The day was picture perfect with clear blue skies. If only the breezes had been a few degrees cooler... </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Fighters, your knight marshal thanks you all for gracing him with your first fight of the day.</div>
<div> </div>
<div> </div>
<div>***Special note: This coming Sunday's practice will be sans Knight Marshal. He will be meleeing with the Steppes Warlord crowd.</div>
