<p class="MsoNoSpacing">Now is the time to start the shameless plugs for two
recorder classes.<span style>  </span>We are going to have a
“Recorder Consort Jam Session” for all recorders at King’s College on June 23^rd.
I hope that you can all come and make some beautiful music.<span style>  </span>Mistress Amata and Master Gaston have kindly
volunteered to help with the alto and soprano parts and I will be helping the
tenors as we read though some of the music in Master Avatar’s book <u>Early
Period and Popular Dance Music</u>.<span style>  </span>I
will have a few copies at the event to sell or you can go to Amazon to get a
copy. I will also have some recorders of the three sizes to loan if you want to
try a different instrument.<span style>  </span></p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing">We are hoping that someone who plays bass recorder will
be able to attend as well to finish out the sound of the ensemble. </p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing">This is an intermediate class as we will not be going
over how to read music. However if you want to learn to play recorder and read
music I have a class for you. “Toot a Little Tune: Very Beginning Recorder
Class.”<span style>  </span>You need no more knowledge than
that you want to learn.<span style>  </span>It is a class
that focuses on the soprano and tenor recorders but alto recorders are more
than welcome.<span style>  </span>I will have some
instruments there for you to borrow if needed. </p>
