Greetings from the Tor!!

The day approaches, the day to prove your worth in the famous Bear Pits!!
The last weekend of this fair month will be Guardian of the Tor, please come
out and join us for the fun.

There will be much going on; Bear Pits for Rapier, Archery and Chivlaric,
Youth tournys in each of these as well as a youth A & S competition. And
let us not forget the Bardic competition!

We will have the stocks there.....a donation will put your loved
one....errrr your foes into the stocks!!

Lady Janie is providing breakfast "treats" for a small monetary donation,
please come out and support the Tor. (from 8:00am until they run out, be
there first!!) There will also be coffee, thanks to Baroness Dana, at the
Hospitality building.

We will end the night with a delicious pot luck feast, please see Lady Janie
for details.

There is rumour of a Fooles Court, and a pajama party, confirmation is on
the way.

Also, Children's activities galore!!

The rules for the youth A & S are as follows:

Under 8 - there will be an activity for these youths to complete, this
project will automatically be entered into the competition

9-12 - Please bring your projects, period related, to the tables for the
competition. The only rules for this age group are: 1 - It must be a period
style project and 2 - The Youth must complete most of the project
themselves, with adult supervision. No documentation necessary, but
welcome.

13 - 16ish - These projects must be period, and must cite 1 source for
documentation. The Youth must complete at least 90% of this project on
their own.

This is a great chance to get the Younger members of our Society interested
in the Arts. I am looking forward to seeing the great entries!! Please come
out and support the youngest members!!

There will be many opportunities to help the Tor, if you would like to
volunteer for gate, waterbearing or security please let me know and I will
direct you to the proper person.

We welcome one and all to come celebrate the weekend in the beautiful Tor!!
