Greetings unto the populace of Elfsea and Dragonsfire Tor from Alejandro y
Amalia, Barón y Baronesa of Elfsea

Too often, many people in the Society do not get recognized for their works
and contributions. I did not receive my AoA until 10 years after playing in
the Society, even when I was pursuivant of the College of St. Golias. In
times past, it was more complex to get award recommendations to the Crown,
because of the need to write a letter - what do you say in such an open
ended format.

Today, things are easier for all of us to submit our award recommendations.

You can go to http://www.ansteorra.org/forms/award.php and fill out the web
form.

You can double check if the person you are recommending has the award by
looking at the Order of Precedence at
http://herald.ansteorra.org/OP/op-names.php .

Lastly, you can see the constitutions of the awards, to get a feel for what
criteria the Crown looks at by reading
http://heraldry.ansteorra.org/OP/A_constitutions.pdf

When you do fill out an award recommendation, make sure to send us a quick
email to let us know who you recommended and why. Sometimes the Crown does
not know a person as well as They would like, so They ask us for our
opinion.

So, don't delay. We have a couple of good opportunities to recognize our
friends in the area for their efforts, and it is better sooner than later.

Alejandro y Amalia
Barón y Baronesa
