Dragonsfire Tor’s Yule Revel was simply wonderful and I wantto take this time to thank the people responsible for making it such a success.First of all I want to thank the Canton of Dragonsfire Tor and TheirExcellences, Gerhart and Elspeth, for allowing me the opportunity to serve asevent steward for this great event. Thank you to everyone who attended the event. We werehonored to have His Majesty Lochlan, Duke Drake, Countess Sibli, and Jackson inattendance this year. (If you did not attend Yule, ask someone who did attendwhat the greatest moment was – hint - Jackson’s new friend.) Yule revel wouldnot be the joy that it is for us at Dragonsfire Tor if our friends from allover the Kingdom were not there to enjoy it with us. This year was great; I donot know how many times someone told me they enjoyed this year’s Yule becausethey were able to visit with friends that they had not seen in a while.Thank you to Lady Diana the Just, my Co-event steward, forall of her help and selling the fundraiser tickets. Now, I wish to thank the people who worked so hard to makethis a great event. To Lady Eleanor of Forth Castle and her gate workers forseeing to it that gate ran smoothly. To Lady Aoife Ruadh inghean Rahnail and Lady Al aeryn fordoing the illumination and calligraphy work on our lovely invitations andscrolls. To Lord Franklin, Lady Cairistiona (Kandi), and LordRavenger; they created such an excellent feast. To Lord William and Lady Cassandra for organizing theservers as well as for having the children’s heraldry class and shield designcontest. To all the people who served our feast thank you for donating you timeto make the feast a success. To Our Bardic Champion, Forest, who announced the coursesand overseeing the between courses entertainment. Thank you to the bards, musicians, and singers, your performances were exquisite. To Baroness Ameline and House Mac for the lovely bannersthat were hung all around the room. They added so much to the ambiance.Thank you to Lady Diana, Lady Janie, and Lady Cairistiona (Kandi) forhelping me make the Dragonsfire Tor Banners that hung from the ceiling in thecenter of the room. They made my crazy idea of “Oh let’s make 18 banners forYule” go from the drawing board to beautiful reality. To Lady Caitrina inhean Mhurchada for running the A&SChampion’s Competition and the silk fan painting class. From what I saw, thesilk fan class was a big success. To Lady Éibhilíninghean Shéafraid, who coordinated the other contests of the day. To all of those good gentles who judged the contests, thankyou for taking time out of your day to be a judge. To Lady Janie and Lord Eoghan, they did an excellent job ofgathering and storing the fundraiser donations. Forest and Lord Franklin thankyou for calling the winners of our fundraiser activity, as usual, great job.To Lady Janie for making our site tokens. Baroness Lauretta, thank you for making the dragon pendants that were the prize for the Children’sShield design contest. Baroness Dana for providing and keeping the coffee comingall day.To Caerell and Tom for not only bringing extra tables fromLoch Ruadh but setting them up and taking them down. . To Lady Mave for passing out the “Do you want to build asnowman?” baggies so that we didn’t have any children overdosing on sugar bytrying to eat the contents of 6 or 8 baggies.Thank you to Lady Caitrina, Lord Edwin, Countess Amelot, andBaron Alejandro for getting the snowball fight started and rolling (yes, punintended). The children had been asking me all day when would we have thesnowball fight. I should also mention that most of the people mentionedabove did not only their assigned jobs but numerous chores throughout the day.As always at the end of the evening everyone in attendancedid a great job at helping us clean up, it made the work Sunday morning so mucheasier. Thank you.I have saved thanking the next group of workers till thelast. This year we were unable to get into the hall to decorate till 11:00 pm.These wonderful people stayed up till 11:00 and did a wonderful job setting upthe hall (we are talking till 2:00 am or later), then still got up early thenext morning to get right back to work.Thank you Diana, Franklin, Elmer, Kandas, Janie, Eoghan,Baroness Dana, Gwen, Vivian, Baroness Ameline, Caerell, Tom, Coleen, Eibhilin, and Sampson. My brain is still a bit tired and the event a blur ofwonderful memories, so please forgive me if I have failed to mention anyone. Mypoor memory does not lessen my gratitude for your hard work. With deepest gratitude,Lady Aaliz du LacEvent Steward
