The storm grabbed my commercial freezer (nearly 2.5' x 4.5' x 7'), slammed it into my miata, somehow got around the miata and then fell on its face in the grass.

Pyro and I have tried to right it, but it is just a bit too heavy for us and the compressor/etc is on the top so we have to pick up the heaviest part. I'd love some help from 2-3 strong people for certainly less than an hour. We'll feed you - probably at our favorite hamburger place - Tom's, but we'll accept suggestions.

Any time Saturday or Sunday will do, but, of course, all of us must choose the same time.

Greetings,

The Canton of Dragonsfire Tor?s Yule Revel XXIV is just a
few months away. This year?s Yule Revel will be December 6, 2014 at Oakdale
Park in Glen Rose, TX. The site will open at 9:00am and close at 10:00 pm. The
site fees are: adults - $10.00, 6-17 years old - $5.00, 5& under free, and
Family Max - $30.00.

            There will
be an A&S competition to find the Tor?s next A&S Champion. This will be
a ?body of work? competition. Other competitions will include our traditional
Table Decorating and Banner Contests. We will have a silk fan painting class as
well as our traditional fundraiser. If you have donations for the fundraiser
contact Lady Janie of the Tor at j-cason at hotmail.com.  This year we will also have a snowball
fight, so check out our website for the rules for the snowball fight as well as
other event information.

contest this year will be a Desert Competition, after which the deserts will be
served as the final course of the feast. Oh, did I mention feast, this year?s

about the feast will be added to our website as it comes available.

            If you want to stay overnight, you will need to make
arrangements through Oakdale Park. Checkout their website

cabins and they now have hotel style accommodations. Gone are the days when you

This past weekend was Tarleton State University?s Home Coming Parade.
Thanks be given to Lady Eibhlean Inghean Sheafraid for Dragonsfire Tor?s
entry into the parade.  Lady Eibhlean organized it and with the help of
other DFT members made it happen.  It is important for the health and
growth of DFT that we do things like this to get our name and what we do
out to the public. This is one way of accomplishing that goal.

I wish to thank Kristen, Courtney, Joseph, Michael, and Remington who

Sunday Fighter and Bardic practice

Greetings,

This Sunday fighter practice will be held at Jaycee Park, in the suburbs of
sprawling Stephenville.  Practice will start at about 12 noon and end when
the last fighter leaves the field.  This practice will be open to all
fighters, both heavy and rapier.  Also this will be open to all Bards who
wish to practice their skills, try out new material, or who just want
to entertain us all.  Like last month, let?s bring finger foods and snacks.

On a more personal note; Ann, if your are planning to attend, please bring
some of your beads.  Diana and Aaliz are interested in buying some for
their Viking dresses.

What a great day this will be, food, stick fighting, tales of old, food,
and rapier fighting.  What could be better, great people, great friends,

Seneschal, Lord Franklin opened the populace meeting at 5:30pm.

*Officer?s reports *

The Canton Officers and Yule Event Steward gave their reports. Joseph
reported that the scribal guild is doing well, attendance is good and they
have completed 36 charters. Rapier Practices have had good attendance, but
the Rapier Marshal would like to see more people coming out to practice.
The Exchequer told the populace that the Financial Committee would be
discussing the 2015 budget in their meeting to be held right after
Populace. Preparations for Yule are coming along and Janie is still taking
donations for the Yule fundraiser if anyone has some things to donate.
Also, a Yule Revel Facebook page is up and running. The Seneschal reminded
everyone about the Fighter Practice to be held October 19th at Jaycee Park.

*Old Business*

The Seneschal reminded everyone if they have recommendations for awards to
start sending them in now.

The Seneschal reminded everyone that Guardian 2015 bids are due by November
Populace.

Shelves for the Canton Trailer ? Plans have been designed and Frank,
Scotty, and Elmer need to get together to finalize the plans and calculate
the amount of materials needed. Once these are done a work party day will
be scheduled.

Canton Facebook ? Joseph told the group that he could set up reminders for
the group?s activities to post to the Facebook page. It was briefly
discussed and the group agreed to have Joseph set up the Facebook reminders.

*New Business*

Lord Franklin said he would like for the populace to have a time at one of
our activities for our Bards to practice their Bardic skills preferable at
the end of Populace or at DFT?s Gathering and Pot-luck nights. The populace
discussed the idea and decided to have a Bardic time at DFT?s Gathering and
Pot-lucks.

Lord Franklin asked about those going to BAM this year and said any who are
interested could add their own painted sheet to the sheet wall with Elfsea.
He also volunteered for Lady Diana, Lady Aaliz, and himself to paint the
Populace?s sheet. It will be a painting of the Canton?s device.

The Seneschal asked the populace if there was any interest in changing the
weekend of our monthly Populace meetings so that Populace would not fall on
the same weekend as Kingdom events. After the group discussed the issue,
they voted to leave populace meetings on the second Sunday of each month.
The vote was unanimous for leaving populace as it is.

Lord Guyon, the new Central Regional Rapier Marshal, told the populace that
he is planning on having some Regional War Practices for Rapier in the
Central Region.

Dragonsfire Tor had a fantastic Gathering and Fighter Practice Sunday.  We
had about 30 people in attendance.  We had a little fighting, lots of
talking among friends, Angus told a story about fighting at Gulf War and we
had great food.  A number of Rolling Thunder members attended and they held
a small meeting.

I would like to thank our Baron and Baroness for attending and His
Excellency Gerhart for helping with the fighters.  His Excellency D?ire was
also here to offer support.  I would like to thank Lord Herries, Elfsea?s
Knights Marshal, for bringing loaner gear and also for helping the
fighters.  I would also thank all those who made the trek up from the lands
of Emerald Keep to be a part of this fantastic day.  Sometime in the near
future we will attend one of their fighter practices, thank you one and all.

If you were not there and feel you missed something ? you did.  Not to
worry because next month on the third Sunday we will all meet at Jaycee
Park and do it all over again, and you all are invited to attend.

First, we would like to thank Diana for all her hard work as Chronicler.
She has done an outstanding job, the newsletter is interesting to read,
