Not in that context.  "It's all done with mirrors"
is the explanation for why everybody seems to
know everybody, or at least knows someone who
knows them.  There are only 400 people in the
SCA, and all those big crowd scenes and battles
are done with mirrors.  The registry's claims
of tens of thousands of members notwithstanding.
