Greetings (breathing in through the nose, out through the mouth),
Defender Steward Here - report on progress

     Need Defender Tokens - Have had several people say they would help, 
but don't have a design yet.  Please make a few samples let me look at 
your ideas.  They need to be really neat, this is our 20th Anniversary.  
I can reimburse from the event budget.  I've budgeted $100 for tokens 
that allows for $0.15 each for 600 tokens.  However if you can get a 
company to donate your supplies or part of them it would be wonderful.  
We can supply the company with our tax-exempt number for a tax write 
off.  

I haven't had anyone donate to the Culture Camp Prize Chest.  Remember 
one of the noble virtues is largess.  There are many appropriate items 
for the Defender chest such as: candles and candle sticks, soaps, feast 
gear, natural fabrics and fibers, medieval reference books, needle work, 
woven items, duct tape, leather, buckles, armor hardware, sewing items, 
etc… 

I have the following duties still unfilled:

Waterbearer Coordinator
Royal Liaison - Yes they will be here - can't make a Laurel or Don with 
out them.  

Coordinators will be needed for several large jobs, which need to be 
done in advance.  These usually require more than one person to 
accomplish the whole task.  I would be nice to have teams already in 
place before the event.  

1st - set up Troll Tent
Rope off list fields  there will be at least three - heavy, rapier, 
archery
Set up Baronial Pavilion 
Set up Xene's Vigil Tent - (somebody told me they were helping with this 
I didn't write it down DUH!!!  This will also include Llywelyn's party 
in the same tent.  I was told they are using the GP Med liner for this.  
Need a team of at least 6)
Set up Xene's Byzantine Chapel

Things are shaping up really well so far.  The following people have 
committed to lead these divisions:

And of course what Goes Up must Come Down.
Need persons to volunteer to break down, which sometimes easier than set 
up.

The next two business meetings will have discussions concerning 
Defender.  Site is set, port-a-johns have been ordered and dumpsters 
ordered.  Working on Water.  Need A LOT for 600 people.  Want ideas and 
volunteers.
