[Lady Simone]

This Poem was inspired by a discussion I was having with some newcomers
about
fighting in the society and the role of honor, not only in combat and all we
do. That developed from Sir Galen's question about the importance of winning
in SCA combat. Hope You all enjoy it.

Lady Simone

Keep our Dream alive

Learn You the path of right,
every time you take to fight.
Be it with steal, Needle, song or pen.
Fight with honor and all shall win.
Let Honor and grace be your daily guide,
so to keep our Dream Alive.

Let not Greed, or ambition disgrace your steel,
learn and Know the times to Yeild.
Let you art stand for Beauty's sake
Not only for the fame you might take.
Sing and write your tales for others fame,
Lest your ego bring you shame.

Let everyone stand for honors sake,
not for what we can take
Give freely to those what you have learned,
And see the Dream through them return
Let honor and grace be your daily guide
So to keep our dream alive
