ES - Bummed out

Greetings,

Well, I am totally bummed out today.  Anthony, Sam and I went to the Arlington Animal Shelter yesterday and bought a little Yorkshire Terrier.  Her name was Cricket, she was 4 yrs old, spayed and housetrained.

Well, she had a little cough last night and when I checked on her this morning, she was coughing up blood and could barely breathe. Anthony and I took her to the Animal Hospital, where they said she had congestive heart failure and a heart murmur.  Basically, there was nothing we could do but have her euthanized.

I feel so sorry for Anthony, as he has been wanting another dog - an smaller one that could keep him company.  I've wanted one, too.  Now we have spent almost $200.00 and don't even have the dog. sigh.....

I figure that the owners left her at the pound because they couldn't bear to put her down.

Bummer... plus Todd leaves today at noon to go back to Canada.

Sorry if I bummed you guys out, but I needed to cry on someone else's shoulder.
