Bonjour from Madelina de Lindesaye!

Glad to hear we have a close neighbor! We live on Sheridan Road, which
intersects Sycamore School Road, 1 block west of I-35. We live at the other end
of it though, a block or so from Alta Mesa.

We would have loved to have attended the ball in Lindenwood and the tourney on
Sunday, but we were involved in moving the next-to-last trailer load of our
household goods from our apartment in Olney, TX (100 miles away). So now I am
involved in unpacking and wondering how this stuff managed to breed, despite
being inanimate. Next weekend should see us wrapping things up in Olney and
turning in the keys to our home in exile.

When we have everything in order, more or less (probably less, knowing me), we
will begin having weekly armouring/metal working classes, with perhaps a fighter
practice and bardic to go along. I will post to the list when we will begin
doing this. It will probably be in September when we get well situated both
physically and financially.

For those of you who do not know, Logan had started a new job, welding in Plano,
working 10 hours a day, supposedly making $15/hr. We were starting to think we
would soon see the light at the end of the tunnel, and even be able to get a bit
ahead. After four days on the job, Logan (along with several other people), was
laid off, and was paid only $10/hr when he finally got his check. So he went a
couple of weeks unemployed.

After making out a new resume, filling out numerous applications, and attending
a job fair, he finally landed a job working for (and this may surprise some of
you) Laurel Land Funeral Home & Cemetery. So step right up, folks, if you need
a new plot or a pre-need burial plan, give Logan a shout at
hammersring at hotmail.com

He will still be doing blacksmithing at events, as his new job allows him much
flexibility in scheduling. And it is certainly less physically demanding than
welding 3 stories off the ground in the hot sun with no shade all day. But we
need a while to get caught up before we can begin playing in earnest again.

We do look forward, though, to welcoming all comers to armor construction 101
classes, as well as advanced armoring (brass and other metals, etching,
enameling, dishing & raising, & etc.). I intend to do some brewing & vinting as
well, and have some new beehives to talk about to anyone interested in that (Can
you say LOTS-O'-MEAD??).

Welcome, Ailikn, to Elfsea, where many people are known to say, "Life Is Good".
